Synopsis
Tigerstyle is a hip-hop and Bhangra production duo: two Sikh brothers from Scotland who came up in the underground music scene, producing white label tracks for major American artists including Eminem, 50 Cent, and Busta Rhymes before most people knew their names. They toured the world, worked across genres, and built a reputation in rooms where almost nobody else looked like them.
The film is as much about what they do now as what they've done. Their current work is grounded in conscious Punjabi music — sounds that are rooted in their faith and their heritage rather than in commercial hip-hop. Their daughters are learning Kirtan. The arc of the film is not from success to sellout but from breadth back to depth, from proving what they could do in other people's worlds to building something that is genuinely their own. Tiger Style is a film about two artists who took a long route home and knew exactly where they'd arrived.
