Synopsis
The conflict in Punjab began in the early 1980s. Lakhwinder Singh, whose uncle was martyred, tells families he is not there for money. He wants the community to fight for justice together.
Ravneet Singh has worked with Ensaaf for about a year and a half. Kuljit Singh was 18 in 1992 when police detained and tortured his family. Co-founders Jaskaran Kaur and Sukhman Dhami say the group is collecting thousands of photographs and hours of video.
Baljit Kaur's husband, Bhupinder Singh, was killed when he was just over 20. Families in the film say they want the truth remembered, not vengeance. Workers say that even after 25 years, documenting these stories still matters.
