Synopsis
He missed the British Civil Service in 1933 by two marks. He sat his Bar exam with roll number 13 and booked his ship home before the results came out.
Mid-ocean, a telegram arrived: he had topped the entire Bar.
Called to the Bar in absentia, Harbans Singh went on to become Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court. A story of resilience, destiny, and quiet greatness, told through the halls of Lincoln's Inn and the courts of India.
