Hidden in the heart of Punjab, Pothimala has stood since 1745, its foundation laid by Guru Jiwan Mal. Hundreds of ancient paintings cover its walls, stories of faith, love and our ancestors, made by artisans whose work has quietly held on for nearly three centuries.

Cracks now run through the murals. Gurdeep Singh's 24-minute film documents the history, art and preservation of the Pothimala gurdwara, and the race against time to rescue a masterpiece. If prompt action isn't taken, the trailer warns, these paintings may be lost for good.
