Synopsis
Onkar Singh raps as MC Encore. In the bathroom he looks at his long hair in the mirror, scissors sitting on the counter. He says he'll still be a Sikh, and it will actually help sell more records. His mum tells him that if he decides this is something he wants to do, he needs to go to the gurdwara and talk to his dada ji.
Out on the street, a girl in a blue hijab tells him she listens to his music a lot. Then someone grabs her bag. Onkar runs after the guy. He ends up in a police cell with a bandage on his forehead.
In the car after, his father says he is proud of what Onkar did for that girl tonight, and that he should have done the same for him. Onkar takes the mic: "My name is Onkar Singh. Some of you may know me as MC Encore." Directed by Reghu Shanker. A film by Sikhlens, 2013.
