Synopsis
Narry is a Sikh tailor who has been operating a bespoke tailoring business in Thailand for more than three decades. His work is impeccably precise, his customer relationships built over years of trust, and his presence in Bangkok's world of fine tailoring both unexpected and completely natural. The film follows him through his work: the fabric selection, the fittings, the patient attention to detail that defines work done at the level he maintains. His family is part of the business, which means the craft is also a legacy in the making.
The film is a quiet celebration of skilled work and of the particular kind of life that can be built around it. Narry's Sikh identity is woven into his story without being made into a theme: he is simply a craftsman from a family of craftsmen, working in a part of the world that was not where his family began and making something lasting there. Narry the Tailor is a film about what it means to choose quality every day, and about the satisfaction of a life built around doing one thing extraordinarily well.
