The protest got stained with the blood of many farmers, after the clashes on the Independence Day of 2021, and over 500 farmers have died in the yearlong escalation. The death toll is still on an increase; eight people were recently killed during a farmers’ protest in Lakhimpur Kheri after two SUVs ran over them. Though their sacrifices remain unacknowledged, they haven’t ceased to demonstrate the best example of humanity!
