Synopsis
Diljot began her public life as an actress but found herself drawn to a different kind of work: the unglamorous, essential work of giving underprivileged children access to opportunities they would otherwise never have. She founded the DreamBuds Foundation with the belief that talent is evenly distributed but opportunity is not, and that closing that gap is worth more than any career success she might otherwise have pursued.
The film follows her foundation's work and the philosophy behind it, giving a portrait of someone who traded applause for something less visible and more durable. She speaks about the choice directly, without romanticizing it. The children the foundation supports are not presented as charity cases but as people with real ambitions who simply needed someone to take those ambitions seriously. Dreams is a film about what it means to invest in other people's futures, and about a woman who made that her life's work.
