Synopsis
When Bal Choda was seven, his granddad bought him a matchbox Aston Martin. He said he would work there one day. He does. Crafting Legacy follows that line from Clifton School in Southall to the factory, and back to the Ramgarhia Gurudwara his father Gurmukh Singh and grandfather Fateh Singh helped build.
The film is as interested in a homemade wood plane as it is in the King's Award for Enterprise. Bal talks about the machine he invented after global experts said no, the patent, the scroll signed by the King. He also talks about mentoring school teams, tying a Pagh in a classroom, and living the memory of parents who are no longer here. Directed by Amit Kaur. A Sikhlens documentary.
