Synopsis
Aman Singh Gulati never liked big canvases. As a kid in Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh, his mother complained he only used half the page. That stubborn preference for small spaces turned into something extraordinary. Known as "Almond Singh," he's a miniature artist who carves intricate portraits on almonds, holds nine world records, and has created everything from the world's largest rakhi (880 feet, honoring the Indian Army) to the world's biggest puzzle portrait of Guru Gobind Singh Ji on the Guru's 351st birthday. He even holds the record for the world's smallest paperback replica.
But the moment that defines him came after the 2019 Pulwama attack. Gulati spent 75 consecutive hours without sleep, sketching all 45 martyred soldiers, then recreated each one as an almond engraving and gifted the series to CRPF India. His prominent pieces portray Sikh history, and his next project will bring the life travels of Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Tegh Bahadur alive through micro engravings. For an artist whose family once questioned his path, art found its way regardless. This Sikhlens film celebrates a creator who proves that size has nothing to do with impact.
