Synopsis

Yogeshwar Singh was among the many Sikhs who left India following the violence of 1984 and rebuilt their lives in Europe. Settling in Switzerland, he found community, purpose, and a way to keep his faith alive far from where it began. His story moves through the practical and the personal: the work of starting over in a new country, the bonds formed within the Swiss Sikh community, and the quiet discipline of maintaining a spiritual life across a very long distance from Punjab.

What makes this film compelling is its honesty. It doesn't romanticize displacement. It shows a man who made the best of circumstances not of his choosing, and who built something lasting in the process. Through his reflections on faith, family, and community in Switzerland, it offers a portrait of Sikh resilience that is neither dramatic nor diminished. It's simply the story of a life, told plainly and with care.
